The Merritt Centennials put up a valiant effort, but fell 3-2 in Penticton Saturday at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
Max Vallis and Steve Wall scored for the Cents in the loss while Steve Tresierra, Silvan Harper and Blaine Bokenfohr, with his first BCHL point, had assists.
Brendan O'Donnell, Garrett Milan and Joey Holka had the Vees goals as they sweep the season series with Merritt 6-0.
Tyler Steel kicked out 22 shots for the Centennials and Joel Rumpel made 21 saves to get the win for Penticton.
Merritt went 1-for-3 with the man advantage while the Vees went 1-for-2 on the power play.
