Cents Seek Revenge Against Wild

PREVIEW: The Merritt Centennials, (17-23-3-1), look for revenge tonight as they take on the Wenatchee Wild, (30-12-3-1) once again for game two of the double header in Wenatchee Washington.

Last night the Cents came close but fell short in double overtime as Jasper Weatherby played hero for the Wild to take the game 2-1. Zach Court scored the lone goal for Merritt.

The Cents had Rylan Van Unen rejoin the team on the ice, having it be his first game back from injury since the World Junior A Challenge where he won gold along with head coach and general manager Joe Martin.

Austin Roden got the nod last night in net for a second game in a row, while the Wild had Seth Eisele in net for them once again to take on the Centennials.

The Centennials had lots of chances to score from players like Zach Court, Henry Cleghorn, Rylan Van Unen and Nicholas Wicks, while it was players like Cooper Zech and Jasper Weatherby for the Wild getting chances; Weatherby currently leads all forwards in the BCHL in scoring, while Zech leads all defenseman in the league.

Pregame for tonight’s tilt goes at 6:45 on Q101 with Jared Thomas with puck drop at 7:00. Follow the Centennials on twitter, @BCHLCentennials
