Langley, BC – February 12, 2011
Darnell Dyck scored twice and added four assists as the Langley Chiefs hammered the Merritt Centennials 8-2 in BC Hockey League action on Saturday.
Josh Myers also had a pair of goals for Langley (30-21-1-7) while Matt Ius, Trace Strahle, Austin Plevy and Brad McBride also tallied in the win.
Regan Soquila and Brandon Pfeil had the Merritt (21-29-1-6) goals. Silvan Harper, Jeff Jones and Evan Stack had assists for the Centennials.
Wyatt Galley kicked out 32 of 34 shots for the Chiefs. Tyler Steel made 29 saves in goal for Merritt.
The Cents went 0-for-4 on the power play while Langley was 1-for-5 on the man advantage.
Merritt now ends the 2010-11 regular season with three straight home games. The Centennials are home to Vernon on Tuesday, Prince George on Thursday, and Trail on Saturday.
