The Merritt Centennials scored twice in each period en route to a 6-3 win over the Westside Warriors Saturday night at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena.
Jeff Jones and Dustin Lebrun each led the Cents with a goal and two assists, while Jakob Reichert had a goal and an assist and Regan Soquila had a pair of helpers. Steve Wall, Billy Marshall and Reece Willcox also scored for Merritt.
Dru Morrison, Brett Mckinnon and Michael King replied for Westside.
Lino Chimienti kicked out 23 shots to get the win for the Centennials in goal. Kevin Boyle started the game for the Warriors, but was replaced by Cam Gorchynski after Merritt's fifth goal in the third period. Boyle takes the loss with 23 saves on 28 shots. Gorchynski wound up with five saves on six shots.
Merritt went 2/6 on the power play, Westside was 1/4.
