Team White won the first Centennials intersquad game of training camp 7-5 over Team Red on Sunday night at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena.
White jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Jacob Taylor (95) and Sebastien Pare (93) before Cents veteran Silvan Harper (92) got Red on the board to make it 2-1 after 20 minutes of play.
Bennett Huber (94) and Brendan Devries (93) tallied in the middle frame to build White to a 4-1 lead before Harper, with his second of the night, and Derek Huisman (92) brought Red even at 4-4. Pare notched his second goal to give White a 5-4 lead heading into the third period.
In the final stanza, Devries, with his second, and Pare, with his third for the hat trick, supplied the only scoring as White beat Red 7-5.
Tyler Steel (93) and Michael Hails (94) split the game in goal for Team White while Phoenix Logan-Hill (94), Russell Sanderson (94) and Jack Burgart (95) each played a period between the pipes for Team Red.
