The Merritt Centennials are excited and proud to announce that trainer Kim Penner has won Gold with Team BC U16 over in Alberta at the 2017 WHL Cup with a 4-3 overtime win over Team Alberta.
Penner was selected as the trainer back last month and left with Team BC, U16 POE at the pre-stage games on October 14, with the tournament beginning on October 17.
Penner has been the Centennials athletic trainer since the 2014/15 season.
This gold medal game was the second year in a row that Team BC taking on Team Alberta.
