It’s Go Time… Zach Zorn

The Merritt Centennials are proud to announce that Zach Zorn will continue his hockey and academic career with the Concordia Stingers in Canadian U Sports (formerly CIS).

A native of Yellowknife, North West Territories, Zorn suited up with the Centennials for 3 seasons compiling 33 goals and 38 assists for 71 points in 156 games. Zorn is coming off his most successful year where he led the team in goals with 20 and added 22 assists while suiting up in all but one game during the year. He supplied leadership and grit on the ice, but was also a leader off the ice where he was recognized with the Ska-Lu-La award which goes to the player who best exemplifies community service.

Head Coach and General Manager Joe Martin says that he’s glad another player is moving on with a strong showing in their final year of Junior hockey.

“I’m proud of Zach, I’m sure all the Centennial family is. He is a great competitor, great teammate and his impact on the dressing room will be missed, Concordia did very well.”

Zorn joins Zach Court, Tyrell Buckley, Zach Risteau, Jake Berger and Henry Cleghorn as graduating players committing to college hockey next season.
