Cents Trade 19 Year Old Forward Dustin Lebrun to AJHL Sherwood Park

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Merritt, BC – January 10, 2011

The Merritt Centennials have traded forward Dustin Lebrun (92) to the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the Alberta Junior Hockey League for future considerations.

Lebrun, who's from Coquitlam, BC, was into his second season as a Centennial. In 82 games, he posted 16 goals and 11 assists for 27 points.

“This trade was a very difficult decision for us as a staff," said Cents GM & Head Coach Luke Pierce. "Dustin has been a great individual here for the past season and a half and played a big role in helping us turn this team around."

"He has tremendous skill and could be an elite scorer in any league, unfortunately we felt he never reached his potential here and hope the change will allow him to succeed further," Pierce continued. "We know Dustin is going to a good organization run by a well-respected coach in Tim Fragle."

The Centennials would like to thank Dustin for his many contributions to our community and our team and wish him all the best in Alberta.
