Jimmy Geerin scored once and set up three while Garrick Perry had a pair as the Burnaby Express remained unbeaten in regulation on the season with a 7-2 win over the Merritt Centennials on Saturday night.
The Cents, coming off an 8-2 loss in Powell River on Friday night, scored 5:21 into the game as Jeff Jones notched his first career BCHL goal. Perry tied the game seven minutes later and it was 1-1 after 20 minutes.
Dylan Herold, Brad Reid, Clay Wilson, John Puskar also scored for the Express and Nick Enegren made 22 saves. Jones and David Sabey, with his second in as many games, scored for the Centennials, who have now lost four straight games. In that stretch, Merritt has been outscored 24-6.
