Cents Edge Coquitlam 4-3 in Overtime

Merritt, BC – October 16, 2010

Defenceman Brandon Pfeil scored twice, including the winner at :35 of overtime to give the Merritt Centennials a 4-3 win over the Coquitlam Express Saturday night at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena.

Jakob Reichert and Dustin Lebrun scored Merritt's other goals while Reichert, Max Vallis and Chad Brears each chipped in with assists.

Coquitlam was led by |Massimo Lamacchia, who had a goal and an assist in the loss. Other Express markers came from Alex Petan and Garrick Perry.

Cents netminder Lino Chimienti made 28 saves to record his first career BCHL win while Coquitlam's Luke Hernandez kicked out 35 Merritt shots in his third loss of the season in six appearances.

Both teams went 0/3 on the power play.

The Centennials next game is Friday at home as the Powell River Kings visit Merritt for the only time this season, Coquitlam's next action is Thursday at Langley.
