The Merritt Centennials Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club Society would like to invite all residents of the Nicola Valley to its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Culture Club in Merritt (2058 Granite Avenue).
The evening will consist of reports on team finances for the 2011-12 fiscal year, marketing, season tickets, billeting, booster club, hockey operations and the election of the 2012-13 Board of Directors. Nominations for the Board of Directors will be permitted from the floor during the meeting.
“This is a good opportunity for residents to see how our meetings are run,” said Cents President and Chairman of the Board Jerry Canuel. “They can see our year-end financial report and the whole program.”
“As a non-profit, community-owned franchise, we want to be as transparent as we can and that’s why we invite anyone to come to our AGM and offer their thoughts or concerns,” continued Canuel. “This is Merritt’s team, our community’s team, and that’s what we want it to be all about.”
"After the success we had last season and the fact that the 2012-13 season is our 40th consecutive in the BC Hockey League, we hope that everyone in the community jumps on board with their support," Canuel said. "We're expecting an excellent turnout at the AGM."
