Cents and Warriors End In A Draw

The Merritt Centennials and West Kelowna battled hard Friday Night just to end in a 3-3 tie.  In front of 1386 fans, they were treated to a well played game with a definite playoff feel to it.

The Cents goals were scored by Silvan Harper (15), Jeff Wight (10) and Regan Soquila (25).

Assists – Brent Fletcher, Brendan Lamont, Regan Soquila and Kevin Lohan.

Tyler Steel was very good making 28 saves on 31 shots.

The Warriors got goals from Matt Anholt, Max French and Ambrose Firkus.

With each team getting a point there is no change in the standings with the Cents and Warriors remaining 3 points apart.  The Vees also received a point in an OT loss to Trail so the Cents remain 5 points behind Penticton for 1st place.

The second game of the home and home series goes tonight at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena.  Its Kal Tire Giveaway night and every fan has a chance to win the $500 Kal Tire Prize!  Also McDonalds will be giving away free coffee outside the rink.  If you can't make it down to the rink you can listen on Q101 and Q101.ca starting at 7pm with the pregame show with voice of the Cents, Graham Turnbull.
