The Merritt Centennials are off to Salmon Arm tonight to take on the Silverbacks in Shaw Center.

This is the 5th meeting of the year between the Cents and Silverbacks. Merritt is 1-3 against Salmon Arm so far this year.
Merritt is coming off a win in Wenatchee 5-2, improving the Cents to 33 points on the year. The Centennials are only 4 points back from the Smokies and 6 back from Vernon in the Interior. Salmon Arm is 3rd in the division with 53 points on the year, coming off an overtime loss to the West Kelowna Warriors.
When defending the Shaw Center Salmon Arm is 15-7 on the year, while Merritt has a 8-14 record on the road.
Merritt will have to strive for the first goal of the game – when scoring first the Silverbacks are 20-3 in the 2015-16 season. Merritt has gone 8-12 in games they’ve scored first.
These teams last played on November 13th, a Salmon Arm win at home 5-2.
