JOB TITLE: Athletic Trainer/Equipment Manager
POSITIONDESCRIPTION:
Injury Management
- Attend all games and practices
- Maintain medical supplies and equipment in consultation with coaching staff
- Work with Team Doctor, Physiotherapist and Dentist
- Work directly with athletes to ensure quick recovery
- Inform coaching staff of all injuries and update progress
- Complete and submit all necessary medical and insurance forms
Equipment Management
- Ensure equipment is ready
- Prepare room for practices and games
- Work with players/Assistant Coach to ensure that room is cleaned
- Work with players to make sure laundry is done
- Assign game day tasks to assistants
Skills
- KIN 241, 326, 310 and previous bench and locker room experience as an athletic trainer is mandatory
- BCPRA weight training registration is an asset
- A background in sport nutrition is an asset
