Q&A With Cents Forward Stephen Wall

This is the third installment of getting to know some of the Cents players who'll be returning with the team this season.

Today, it's 1991-born forward, #22 ? Stephen Wall.

Wall is entering his second season with the Centennials and third season of junior 'A' hockey. Last year, he established himself as a solid addition to the team and wound up 12th in scoring with 7 goals and 13 assists in 55 games. Wall also saw time on the penalty kill and often set the tone for his teammates with his tenacious forecheck and energetic style of play.

Cents:  How has your summer gone so far?

Stephen: My summer has been good, I'm working a lot and getting ready for the upcoming season in Merritt.

Cents:  Has your training changed from last summer to this summer at all?

Stephen: Yes, I tweaked my back while at work, so I couldnt lift any weights and have been forced to focus more on cardio.

Cents:  Has your nutrition changed at all?

Stephen: Not really, truth be told, I've never really liked junk food at all.

Cents: Did Coach Pierce tell you anything to work on specifically in the off-season?

Stephen: Yes, he mentioned that I should to continue to work on my skating.

Cents: How do you think you can continue to develop from the experience after Coach Pierce took over last season?

Stephen: I want to just keep doing the things I do well… although a few more points would be nice!

Cents: Are you excited to play against any team in particular this season?

Stephen: Definitely Vernon, it would be nice to knock off the top team in Canada.

Cents: Is there anyone in hockey you kind of model your game after?

Stephen: Probably Marty Reasoner. He's a real mucker and grinder, is strong on the draws and can be relied on to kill penalties.

Cents: Thanks for this Stephen and all the fans here in Merritt are looking forward to your second season in a Centennials jersey.

Stephen: Thanks!
