The Merritt Centennials are pleased to announce that they are participating in the 2012 Downtown Streetfest presented by the Merritt & District Chamber of Commerce.
The Cents will be set up in front of their Marketing Office at 2058 Granite Avenue on Friday, July 20th and Saturday, July 21st from 10 am to 6 pm with 2012-13 season ticket information and merchandise for sale including shirts and hats.
"We're happy to be a part of what the Chamber of Commerce is doing to promote local business," said Cents Marketing Team member Heather Poole. "Entering our 40th consecutive season of junior 'A' hockey in the Nicola Valley, we think it's a great opportunity for members of our community to stop by and see what options are available for season tickets."
"By having merchandise available as well, fans are able to buy items that maybe were only available previously during games," added Cents Marketing Team member Liz Brackenreed. "Merritt fans are among the proudest – if not the proudest – in the BC Hockey League, and we're really happy to afford this opportunity to meet with them."
"Seeing that this event is a celebration of business in Merritt, we are so proud to support it," continued Joe Martin, Cents Assistant Coach and third member of the club's Marketing Team. "The financial viability of the Centennials is made possible largely by the generous support we get from the business community as season ticket holders, advertisers and sponsors, and we think it's important to show them how much we appreciate their contributions to not only our team, but also the economy of the Nicola Valley."
