Cents Name Tyler Forsythe General Manager & Assistant Coach

MERRITT, BC – August 18, 2009

The Merritt Centennials have appointed Dylan and TylerForsythe to form the team's new coaching and management team, the clubannounced Tuesday. Dylan Forsythe will serve as the Cents head coachand assistant general manager while Tyler has been brought on board asgeneral manager and assistant coach.

Dylan comes to Merritt following assistant coachingstints with the AJHL's Sherwood Park Crusaders and the MJHL's NeepawaNatives. Tyler, who also worked with the Crusaders as a goaltendingcoach, has an extensive background in scouting at the Junior A level inWestern Canada.

“We are excited to have Dylan and Tyler on board and wefeel like they will be an excellent fit moving forward as they lead theCentennials,” team governor Brian Barrett said of the hires. “BothDylan and Tyler are hard workers with good hockey experience. They'llwork closely together in all aspects of our operations.”

“Both Tyler and I are looking forward to the challenge ofre-establishing the proud tradition of Centennials hockey in Merritt,”Dylan Forsythe said. “Our goal as we move forward is to ice a teamcapable of making the playoffs, which would be a solid start for thefranchise and its fans.”
