Last week the Merritt Centennials were at Walmart to help the community support local children in need for Christmas.
Alongside the efforts of the Nicola Valley Food Bank, the team was able to help make sure everyone will enjoy a gift this holiday season. Throughout the day, local shoppers selected ornaments with each child’s age and interests and purchased gifts allowing the Cents to then wrap and deliver them. Thanks to the giving spirit of the community the Cents were able to promote and help to reach 100% of the quota of gifts needed.
