Cents grad Tuton named captain at UAA

BritishColumbia Hockey League graduates Jared Tuton and Josh Lunden have beenchosen to wear letters at the University of Alaska Anchorage during the2009/10 season, Seawolves head coach Dave Shyiak has announced.

Tuton,a former Merritt Centennials forward, will wear the 'C' in his seniorseason after serving as an assistant in his junior year. A stay-at-homedefenceman, the Whitehorse product played in 32 games last season andhas suited up in 103 total games during his college career at UAA.

JoiningTuton in the Seawolves' leadership core will be former ChilliwackChiefs star Josh Lunden, who will be returning as an assistant captain.Lunden posted 20 points for the third consecutive season in 2008/09,tying his NCAA-high with 14 goals while adding six assists.

Tuton and Lunden's appointments were voted on by their teammates with additional input from the coaching staff.
