Cents fall 5-2 in Westside

West Kelowna, BC – January 3, 2010

Kyle Singleton had a pair of goals to lead the Westside Warriors to a 5-2 win over the Merritt Centennials in BC Hockey League action Sunday afternoon.

Cam Reid had a goal and two assists for the Warriors while Tyler Brickler and Brendan Ellis each scored a single goal. Cam Gorchynski made 34 saves for his second win of the season.

Jordan Soquila had a pair of assists for the Centennials while Steve Tresierra and Stephen Wall each scored goals in the loss. Keith Hamilton kicked out 33 saves in the loss.

Merritt went 1-for-4 on the power play while Westside was 2-for-6 on its man advantage.

The Cents next game is Tuesday in Vernon. The Warriors are back in action Friday at home against the Vipers.
