The Merritt Centennials held on for a 3-2 victory over divison rivals, the Penticton Vees in front of 850 very loud fans.
The goals were scored by Bennett Huber (4), Sam Johnson (6) and Sebastien Pare (16).
Assists – Kevin Lohan, Sam Johnson, Tyler Martin, Silvan Harper, Diego Cuglietta and Tyler Steel.
Tyler Steel was fantastic turning away 36 saves many of them in the final period to propel the Cents to a series win of the Vees.
The Centennials have now defeated the Vees in three straight games, with one more head to head next weekend. Merritt currently sits 4 points behind Penticton, although the Vees play Cowichan later today. The Cents lead over West Kelowna remains at 6 points.
