Cents Announce the Commitment of Diego Cuglietta for 2012-13

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Merritt, BC – May 2, 2011

The Merritt Centennials are pleased to announce the commitment of forward Diego Cuglietta for the 2012-13 season.

“Diego attended camp with us last year and we were excited to see how his 2011-12 season of junior 'B' hockey would progress. He made substantial strides during the year and was one of his team's best players in the playoffs,” said Cents Head Coach and GM Luke Pierce.

“Diego has rounded out his game to the point he can be successful in our program,” Pierce continued. “He is a versatile centerman who is tenacious on pucks, he'll add some offensive instincts to our group and is a committed individual who will fit right into our culture in Merritt.”

Cuglietta, at 5-foot-9 and 161 lbs, played last season with the Kamloops Storm of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League. He had 13 goals, 25 assists and 74 penalty minutes in 50 regular season games. The Kamloops native also contributed five goals and four assists in 12 playoff games for the Storm.

The entire Centennials organization welcomes Diego and looks forward to seeing him on the ice in September.
