Cents Announce Hiring of Kyla Knox as Trainer/Athletic Therapist

Merritt, BC – August 24, 2011

The Merritt Centennials are pleased to announce the hiring of Kyla Knox as their Trainer and Athletic Therapist. Knox has been an athletic therapist for the Quesnel Millionaires for the past two seasons. Her previous experience includes three seasons with the Okanagan Hockey Academy, including two seasons with the KIJHL's Summerland Sting. She joined OHA after spending two seasons with the Powell River Kings of the BCHL.

Knox has also been a part of the BC High Performance Program, serving as the Athletic Therapist for Team BC's U18 Female Team. Her professional credentials include Canadian Athletic Therapist Certified, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Athletic Trainer Certified. Knox grew up in Winnipeg, where she attended the University of Manitoba.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science.

"I am so excited to be the newest team member of the Centennials," said Knox. "I am happy to start the next chapter of my life in such a close knit community like Merritt and am confident that this is going to be a great season.”
