CENTENNIALS SEND G CONNOR LACOUVEE TO BULLDOGS

The Merritt Centennials have traded the playing rights of 1994-born goaltender Connor LaCouvee to the Alberni Valley Bulldogs (BCHL) in exchange for future considerations.

Connor was 4-0 this season with a 2.24 GAA and .918 save percentage, after coming to the Centennials from the Grande Prairie Storm (AJHL) earlier this seaseon.

"This was a very difficult deal to make. Connor was an outstanding goaltender for us over the past month and is an exceptional young man. Our loyalty to both Russell and Devin dictated that we give them the opportunity that we said we would at the beginning of the year." said Head Coach Luke Pierce.

LaCouvee spent the 2012/13 season with the Cowichan Valley Capitals, and the Qualicum Beach, BC product now has an opportunity to play close to home.

"Connor deserves to be a starting goaltender in this league and we hope he will now get that opportunity. We want to thank Connor for his contribution to our hockey club and we wish him all the best in Alberni Valley." Pierce concluded.

The entire Centennials organization would like to wish Connor good luck with the Bulldogs, and look forward to seeing him on February 8th in Merritt!
