Where Are They Now: Brayden Low Interview

Team social media coordinator Katie Campbell, caught up with former Merritt Centennials player Brayden Low in a “Where Are They Now” interview,

You started your BCHL career with the Centennials in the 2011/12 season, and then you played 3 seasons in the WHL after being traded to the Powell River Kings, what was different about going from the BCHL to the WHL?: “The biggest difference from the BCHL to the WHL was the size and speed of the game. You’re playing against the top kids in the country – with that comes quicker game play and bigger/stronger players.”

What is one thing you miss about playing in Merritt?: “I’d say I miss the community and small town feel the most. I loved playing in Merritt, I met so many good people. The community really rallied around the team that year.”

What was your favourite memory from playing in Merritt?: “My favourite memory was the playoff run we had against Penticton and took them to 6 games. We almost had the job done.”

What did you do after juniors?: “Once I finished juniors, I went to college for a year and played at the University of Alberta.”

What are you doing now?: “Now I play professionally for the Quad City Mallards.”

What advice would you give Cents players now on how to further their hockey career?: “As for advice, listen to your coaches, learn as much as you can and always keep your feet moving!”
