Trade: Cents Add Curran From Warriors

The Centennials have completed a trade with the West Kelowna Warriors to acquire defenseman Sullivan “Sully” Curran in exchange for future considerations.

Curran, a Kelowna native, most recently suited up for his home town Warriors in the BCHL’s pod season. He got into 11 games but didn’t register any points and recorded 8 penalty minutes. At 6’0″, 195 pounds, and a right shot, the multi-sport athlete could prove to be an asset for the Centennials.

Director of Hockey Operations John Stuart says that Curran will push for a spot on the team in the fall.

“We are excited to have Sully come in and compete for a spot. Sully is a great athlete that we feel will have a good opportunity to make our final roster. Sully is an elite rugby player that has a scholarship with the University of Victoria. With Sully’s size and physicality he will fit in very well in our barn and we are looking forward to having him at our Abbotsford camp in July to meet the new coach and staff.”
The Cents would like to welcome Sully and his family to the team and the community, and look forward to seeing him on the ice come October.
Merritt is closing in on their first camp of the offseason in Abbotsford that is set for July 16th to 18th.
