Game day responsibilities were broken into the categories of gate/admission, merchandise, security, beer gardens, off ice officials, activities, 50/50, and technical services.
Needs were broken into “must have” and “nice to have”. A few of these needs included: more volunteers and back up support; increased storage space; tighter security in a few key areas in arena ; equipment needs ie computers, camera, wiring, debit machines or similar ; clarity and training on new processes; billets; increase in the variety of activities and performers; and need for smaller sponsored prizes.
In related areas discussion also included: how to increase crowd engagement, and how to encourage and involve a younger population.
For the new organization participants identified earlier and improved communications, future use of discount pricing and keeping things simple ( KISS) as areas to work on.
Participants wished the organization and team good luck in the season.
