It’s official the Merritt Centennials will be back starting April 2nd against the Chilliwack Chiefs as part of the Chilliwack pod as the first game for the return of BCHL hockey this spring.
The Centennials will play a condensed 20 game schedule against the Chiefs and the Prince George Spruce Kings from April 2nd to May 8th. All games will be carried on BCHL TV and Q101.1 FM and Q101.ca and will begin at 5:00 pm with the pre-game show starting at 4:45.
Head Coach and General Manager Derek Sweet-Coulter says it’s been a gargantuan effort by everyone involved at the league level, to the pod cities, to the teams themselves, but it all comes back to getting back to game action.
“We are excited to get our players back in games, we look forward to the next 5 weeks playing the game we love.”
The Centennials will conclude their pod schedule against the Chiefs on May 8th.
