Merritt Centennials defenceman Aleksey Chichkin has been added to the Top Prospects GameMerritt Centennials defenceman Aleksey Chichkin has been added to the Top Prospects Game next weekend in Penticton.
Chichkin will replace former Capitals defenceman Aaron Brown on Team West after Brown was acquired by the Brooks Bandits of the AJHL earlier this week and will join fellow Centennials Jackson Krill and Diego Johnson in the game.
Chichkin is a 2005-born defenceman playing in his rookie season in the BCHL. The New Westminster, B.C. native has a goal and six assists through 27 games this year.
The BCHL’s Top Prospects Game takes place on Friday, Jan. 20 at 6 p.m. at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton and tickets can be purchased on the BCHL’s Website.
