The Merritt Centennials announced today that 19-year-old forward McKullen Astill has been traded to the Humboldt Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for future considerations.
“We truly appreciate McKullen’s time in Merritt over the last few months,” said Cents GM and Head Coach Joe Martin. “This is a move we feel will benefit him as he’s going to a strong organization where he’ll receive more ice time in a bigger role than we were able to offer here in Merritt.”
Astill played 15 career BCHL games in Merritt, posting one assist and two penalty minutes. The Edmonton native was recruited by the Centennials from the Stavanger Oilers U20 team in Norway.
