Cents Snuffed Out by Trail 4-1

The Merritt Centennials 2008 exhibition season came to an end on Saturday afternoon at the Cominco Arena with a 4-1 loss against the Trail Smoke Eaters.

For the second straight game, the Centennials opened the scoring. This time it was Devon Hobbs, with assists to Todd Fletcher and Brian Kang, just 1:42 into the second period. Trail stormed back with four unanswered goals though, two in the second and two in third, to take the win.

Kyle Nielsen made his first start of the pre-season and made 40 saves on 44 shots in taking the loss.
