The Merritt Centennials are pleased to announce the naming of D Codie Kightley (88) as an alternate captain for the remainder of the regular season.
Kightley, a Merritt Minor Hockey product, also wore an 'A' for the Cents last season during the last two months of the season.
Centennials assistant coach and director of player personnel Bill Birks said of Kightley, “He does everything you expect, he's a leader in the room, he works his you-know-whats off, and he's well deserving of it.”

Kightley's first game this season as an alternate captain is Friday in Westside against the Warriors.
