Cents Make Swap With Chiefs

The Merritt Centennials are pleased to announce their first move of the off season under new Head Coach and General Manager Barry Wolff.

The Centennials have acquired 2000 born forward Chase Nameth from the Chilliwack Chiefs in exchange for future considerations.

Nameth, a 6’0, 185 pound Regina, Saskatchewan native, got into 44 regular season games and 7 post season games with the Chiefs last year and contributed 1 goal and 2 assists. Prior to that Nameth spent time with the Regina Pat Canadians Midget AAA program where he supplied 20 goals and 27 assists for 47 points in 43 games.

Head Coach Wolff says that he’s excited to have a player who’s played hard for top teams.

“Nameth is a hard nosed forward that will add offensive depth, high end grit and has a great compete level.”

The Centennials would like to welcome Chase and his family to the Centennials organization.
