Cents Goaltender Cole Kehler Traded from Kamloops to Portland in the WHL

The Merritt Centennials announced today that goaltender Cole Kehler’s Western Hockey League rights have been traded from the Kamloops Blazers to the Portland Winterhawks for a seventh round pick in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.

The 18-year-old from Altona, Manitoba joined the Cents near the end of September 2015 and played 43 games during the 2015-16 season, finishing with an 18-24-1 record, a 3.84 goals-against-average, and an .898 save percentage.

“We’d like to thank Cole for his contributions last season,” said Cents GM and Head Coach Joe Martin. “We certainly wish him all the best with Portland and in his WHL career.”
