Cents Drop 10-3 Decision in Penticton

The Merritt Centennials fell to 0-and-2 in the 2008 exhibition season following a 10-3 loss on Wednesday night to the Penticton Vees at the Penticton Memorial Arena.

The Centennials offense came from forward Dustin Johnson, who scored twice in the second period and once in the third to get the hat trick. Paul Forster notched two assists in the loss for Merritt while Dylan Herold and Devon Hobbs each had one helper.

Graeme Gordon got his second straight start in the pre-season and was pulled after allowing five goals on 13 shots. Kyle Nielsen played the final fourty minutes in relief.

The Cents next exhibition tilt is Friday night in Trail against the Smoke Eaters.
