Centennials Sign Spinale for 2022-23

MERRITT, BC. – The Merritt Centennials Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is pleased to announce Forward Ryan Spinale (’04) has committed to the team for the 2022-2023 season.

Spinale, a 6’5 210 pound native of Plymouth, Massachusetts comes to the Centennials from the Boston Advantage 18-U, as well as the Boston Advantage in the NCDC. A program with a midget team and a junior hockey team in regards to the NCDC.

Ryan is described as a skilled power forward who can make highly skilled plays in small areas and comes highly recommended from people in the hockey circles in Boston.

Centennials colour commentator Jared Thomas had the following questions to ask the Cents’ newest recruit.

Jared: What has you excited to play for the Cents?

Ryan: I’m really excited to play for such a historic organization, I feel it’s a great opportunity to mature and get my game to the next level.

Jared: What do you feel are the skills you’ll bring to the team?

Ryan: I feel that being a big presence on the ice with my size, alongside my shot will help the team. I have a strong work ethic and I’m always trying to get better.

Jared: What is something about yourself fans might find interesting to know(hockey life or family life etc)?

Ryan: Aside from Hockey, I love to play Golf and Street hockey in the summer!

The Centennials are excited for Ryan to arrive in Merritt all the way from Boston in late August and would like to welcome him to the Nicola Valley.
