Cents fall in Double OT to Warriors
Wednesday, January 23, 2013
The Merritt Centennials fell in a hard fought game, 3-2 in double overtime to the West Kelowna Warriors.

Richard Sabourin scored his 6th of the season and Derek Huisman scored his 17th of the season to deadlock him with Regan Soquila for the team lead.

Assists went to Dane Birks, Regan Soquila and Sebastien Pare.

Shots on goal in the game were 38-27 in favour of the Centennials.

Tyler Steel had a very good game and made some of his biggest saves in the third period and overtime.

With the loss, the Cents fall to 3rd place in the Interior Division, but have 3 games in hand on West Kelowna.

The Cents will use up 2 of those games this weekend as they will travel to the Island for a 3 game in 3 night road/ferry trip starting in Victoria on Friday Night.

You can catch the action on Q101 and Q101.ca with voice of the Centennials, Graham Turnbull.  The pre game show on Friday night begins at 6:45 with puck drop at 7:15 from Bear Mountain Arena.
