Gavin Gould couldn’t have picked a better time to shine in his NCAA career as he notched four goals, including his first hat trick, in a do-or-die game on Sunday to put the Michigan Tech Huskies into the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) finals. Gould also picked up Rookie of the Week for the WCHA.
Gould, a native of North Vancouver, played three seasons in the BCHL, two seasons in Merritt and one in Nanaimo, as the Clippers acquired him for their playoff push at the end of last season. In three seasons Gould played 169 games, scored 65 goals and had 90 assists for 155 points.
