The Merritt Centennials are off to the second round of the 2017 BCHL playoffs after sweeping the West Kelowna Warriors in Round 1. The Centennials became the first team in history to sweep a defending RBC Cup National Champion, and will play Penticton in Round 2. This is the first time since 2012 that the team has advanced past the first round.
All but one game was decided by one goal. Two of the games went into OT, and Stephan Seeger scored the winning goal in both games. More on the Q101 Centennials blog;
