Cents Defenseman Aaron Murray Commits To Concordia University Wisconsin

The Merritt Centennials announced today the commitment of defenseman Aaron Murray to Concordia University Wisconsin for the 2017-18 season.

“I couldn’t be more excited to start the next chapter of my life at Concordia University” said Murray, “It would have not been possible without the help of the entire Centennials organization. I am extremely grateful for my time in Merritt.”

The 20 year old had nine assists in the regular season and three points in the post season.

“We’re happy for Aaron,” said head coach/GM Joe Martin, “And we want to wish him the best on and off the ice in College” added Martin.

Murray, a native of Chino California, played 34 regular season games with the Centennials in the 2016-2017 season and 46 games in the 2015-2016 season for the Wenatchee Wild for a total for 80 regular season games in the BCHL

Murray is the eighth player on this season’s Centennials roster to secure a NCAA scholarship, joining Tyler Ward (University of Denver), Zach Court (University of Nebraska-Omaha), Cade Gleekel (St. Lawrence University), Zach Metsa (Quinnipiac University), Zach Risteau (St Lawrence University), Brett Jewell (Yale University),  and Michael Regush (Cornell University).

Concordia University is located in Mequon, Wisconsin, and was founded in 1881.
