What made you choose Yale? The academic’s are great as is the hockey team.

If you weren’t playing hockey, what would you be doing instead?Defiantly at a Canadian University.

Yale has a great hockey team, are you excited to play for them?Absolutely! It’s been a goal of mine to play for a NCAA team for a long time, and I’m excited that it’s going to be happening.

Besides hockey, what are you excited for?Again, the academics, also meeting new people and having a great experience.

Who in Merritt are you going to miss the most?My billet family, the Ouellet’s. They’ve been great the last two years, a great family, and great people. They’re like my second family.

Do you think you’ll have to adapt to a new role?A little bit, it’s a new team and I’ll play whatever role the coach and team needs me to play.

Who was the first person you called when Yale became official? My dad. My parents are my biggest supporters and I wanted to make sure that they were the first ones to know.

Who got you, or how did you get into hockey? My whole family really, my older brother Alex played hockey, and my parents put me into it when I was little to see if I’d like it and here we are 20 years later, I still love it.

Biggest role model on the ice?Jonathan Toews, he’s the captain for the Hawks and he’s a great leader on and off of the ice.

Biggest role model off of the ice?My dad. I idolised him growing up and I’ll always ask what he thinks before I make a big decision.

Pre-game meal?Chicken and rice. It hasn’t changed over the last two years.

Waffles or pancakes?- Pancakes.
